Pushkar Lake is located in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Pushkar Lake is a sacred lake of the Hindus. Pushkar attracts tourists from all over the world and though it is a religious spot, pilgrims throng in large numbers to take a sacred bath. It is believed that a dip in the lake cleanse sins and cure skin diseases.
How incredibly beautiful! I love to do photography through archways like this one. One of my favorite pictures of all times was taken of Athens through an arch from the Acropolis.
ReplyDeleteLala, a Jaipur taxi driver taxi driver who has become a good friend, constantly asked to take me to Pushkar. I can't believe I never made it there during my 5 months of living in Jaipur!
Pushkar is the most peaceful place in Rajasthan according to me. May be because it has a sacred lake and many pilgrims stay there. Whatever, I loved my visit at Pushkar.
